Picking up

As a mother, it was natural to be biased and protective. It was part depriotising, part reinvesting when we chose to switch Z’s training to focus on another sport.

Without delving too much into details, he amazed us by how fast he picked up and how much he enjoyed the sport.

It had been 2 months and the fire of interest still burned strong. I penned this down so that when we looked back, we would see if this was a connecting dot.

I had never seen Z filled with so much passion and drive. This was also a sport that Mr H aligned with and enjoyed, so it was really easy to provide parental support.

The initial setback had taken a toll on his confidence which was regaining in another area. While I wasn’t one to count my eggs early, I hoped his passion would continue to drive him as a person.
