To fight for more or to be easily contented?

A recent conversation with a friend led me to think about contentment in life. Was it necessarily bad to be easily contented? Or must we always crave to have more?

Should we always push for more? Are achievements, status and money more important? Or is the art of happiness, peace and contentment more important? This is a very real issue which surrounds us today, and more so for our children in future.

What values do we impart ultimately?

Happiness is not a symbol of success but it is a luxury we have and want to indulge our children in. Will the pursuit and emphasis on happiness affect their future and choices?
